Dry Needling

Blank Text
Perfect for aiding acute injury, chronic pain, releasing trigger points, reducing headaches, and improving sensation. A therapy utilizing thin monofilament needles to target specific tissues causing your pain. Real Recovery is the only clinic in town that has osteopractic protocols expanding past trigger point dry needling to help resolve headaches, neuropathy and radicular pain syndromes. Treatment time: 10-30 minutes
How it works:
The therapist identifies the target tissue. The needle is inserted to the appropriate depth. Needle insertion alone starts the bodies’ natural inflammatory healing process without creating significant tissue damage that occurs with injury. Good things happen here like the release of endorphins, decrease of cortisol and a cellular response necessary to heal an injury. The needle is then stimulated with either electricity or manually by your therapist, this actually changes the tissue, bringing fibers closer together to help healing. This whole process will also work in conjunction with your nervous system to address the root cause of chronic pain. The effects are pretty immediate, aid in diagnosis, and there is no limit to how often they can be performed unlike treatments like cortisone injections.

Great for acute pain relief and mobility. This form of myofascial release is used to increase blood flow to an area promoting healing and soft tissue mobility which improves your range of motion and decreases pain. This is also great for treating scar tissue adhesions such as post caesarian, joint replacements, and ACL and Achilles tendon repairs. Treatment time: 5-15 minutes.
Cupping

How it works:
Cylindrical cups are placed on your skin and air is vacuumed out of the cup. The suction pulls the skin upward into the cup helping increase blood flow through the muscle and fascial layers where toxins such as lactic acid and cellular debris collect. This promotes healing, decreases DOMS(Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness) and increases pain free range of motion. These cups may be left in place or your therapist may decide to utilize active release techniques with the cups for deeper fascial stretching.
Cold Plunge

Also known as cold water immersion therapy, involves immersing the body in water at temperatures of 32-50° Fahrenheit. Benefits include: reduced inflammation, boosted immune system, muscle recovery, pain relief, and increased mental alertness. Treatment time: 1-10 minutes.
How it works:
Cold water immersion helps reduce inflammation by decreasing the production of inflammatory markers and limiting the spread of inflammation to surrounding tissues. This flushes out metabolic waste products such as lactic acid which accumulates in muscles during exercise. This can be particularly beneficial for athletes recovering from intense workouts.

An infrared sauna uses infrared light to heat the body directly as opposed to traditional saunas that heat the air around you. Health benefits include: detoxification, reduced inflammation, reduced stress, pain relief, reduced joint pain/stiffness, increased quality of sleep, can help improve cardiovascular health, and can increase metabolism aiding in weight loss. **It is essential to stay hydrated during and after this therapy to replace lost fluids.
Infrared Sauna

How it works:
Infrared light penetrates the skin and heats the body from within, reaching deeper tissues and organs. This heat absorption can induce a more vigorous sweat at lower temperatures compared to traditional saunas. As the body absorbs the infrared heat, it causes an increase in core body temperature, triggering a natural cooling response through sweating. This process helps to eliminate toxins, promote circulation, and relax muscles. Treatment time: 20-45 minutes.
Hyperice Recovery

Utilized by the pros, our Hyperice recovery services include full body Normatec sleeves, heated theraguns, vibrating foam rollers/spheres, and Venom Series heat and vibration products. All of these products help you stay ahead of the game keeping your body operating at its maximum potential by reducing lactic acid build up from exercise/competition which in turn speeds up recovery and limits potential for injury.
How it works:
Pneumatic compression helps enhance blood circulation and lymphatic flow, which are essential for flushing out metabolic waste products and delivering oxygen and nutrients to muscles. Many athletes find that using these devices after intense exercise or competition helps them recover faster and feel fresher for their next training session or event.
